Van Gogh Rocks !!

I'm no art expert, but I do appreciate the artistic efforts of others. I wish I had a little more access to my brain's leftside. I can't really say why I like a prticular painting, sculpture, or photograph, I simply know that it appeals to me in some way. Take Van Gogh for instance. The details of what he is painting are unimportant. It's the colors and textures that leap off the canvas at you. It almost feels 3 dimensional, like you're there looking over his shoulder. I can hear the quiet sounds of the village settling down for the night under a peaceful star filled sky.


I can smell the rain and hear the distant rumble of the approaching thunderstorm.

I can feel the autumn sun on my face as the workers toil in the fields.

Or the breeze blowing through the wheatfield on a beautiful summer day.
